This piece is by Bernice Huber (1915-1994), an artist listed both in the Vasefinder Museum and on AskART. Per AskART, Huber was a painter and potter who worked in California, Oregon, and Arizona. Her art studies were completed at the University of Washington, the Warner Studio of Portland, Oregon, and at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, California. Huber studied watercolor painting with Richard Yip, George Post, Eliot O'Hara, Rex Brandt, and Edgar Whitney. She was a member of the Carmel Art Association for over two decades; she also was a member of the Oregon Society of Artists, the Northwest Watercolor Society, and the Women Painters of Washington. She exhibited at various galleries, museums, and events in California, Oregon, and Washington.
